We are very proud to be an accredited exam centre for LAMDA. Karen Lillian works as an examiner for LAMDA and teaches all LAMDA lessons. She ensures that children have learnt everything necessary for a successful exam and for those who prefer not to take exams, development and progression is always central to the students' learning.
LAMDA was founded in 1851, making it the oldest drama school in the UK. London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, offers a range of subjects that can be taught to individuals or small groups of children.
The syllabi that are offered give children the opportunity to develop excellent communication and presentation skills and are designed so that they are accessible to all.
There is a breadth of subjects available to choose from which suit those who love to perform; those who like to form a structured speech; those who would like to build confidence and performance skills without the pressure of delivering lines; those who have difficulty in remembering lines and those whose passion is musical theatre and acting through song.
LAMDA lessons and exams help children to develop a clear speaking voice, positive body language, self-awareness and confidence, all of which are integral in all walks of life. They help people to develop their confidence and self-esteem which is invaluable beyond all measure. LAMDA instils qualities and skills in people that remain with them throughout their entire lives.

Annual exam dates are available for those who wish to work through the graded system. The exams require self-discipline and focus making them an excellent contribution to children's future school applications and future Curriculum Vitae. Higher graded exams also carry UCAS points which students can use when applying to university.
All students taking LAMDA exams of any kind, are able to do so at one of our teaching venues. It is wonderful that children are able to take their exams in the same place where they are taught. Taking exams in familiar surroundings makes the process much less daunting for students so the only thing they need to focus on is their performance.
